It has been an interesting couple of days. We got to Newark , NJ without incident, but then it went down hill. We were originally scheduled to have a 3 hour layover, but, because of staffing problems we boarded late. Then it started raining. After an hour and a half or so, sitting on the plane with a rain delay, the new crew timed-out. We deplaned for supper. We had to wait several more hours for the next crew to arrive. All in all, we were supposed to depart around 4 but did not actually leave the ground until midnight.
10 hours and several time zones later , we arrived in Tel Aviv at about sunset. We are now on a bus to Galilee for dinner at our hotel. The first day of the tour has been lost but we hope to make up some of the sites on another day.
